I was born and raised in London, half Japanese and half English. I’ve spent most of my life in England, particularly in London, so at the end of 2024 I decided to take some time to explore the other side of my identity.

I moved to Japan and lived on the northernmost island of Hokkaido, and then all the way down to the southernmost islands of Okinawa too. Along the way, I spent some time in Tokyo and Osaka. 

The year I spent living in Japan, really pushed me to chase my interests in wildlife photography. I went out with a camera and captured all sorts of wildlife, from eagles to monkeys to underwater wonders. 

Now back in the UK, I’m completing my MA in Wildlife Filmmaking at the University of the West of England. But as this course draws to a close, I’m looking ahead to the new chapter and hoping to begin my career within the wildlife filmmaking industry.
